Darlynda Bogle, Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Communications

As Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Communications, Darlynda Bogle co-leads the agency’s efforts to educate and inform the public about its programs, with an emphasis on promoting Social Security’s online services and applications.  She also oversees internal communications support to SSA’s Commissioner, senior leadership, and employees. 

Darlynda began her career at Social Security as an attorney in the Office of General Counsel.  Over the years she has progressed through varying leadership positions in policy, programs, communications, and strategic planning.

Darlynda lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband, David. They have three adult sons and one grandson.  Darlynda is a proud alumna of the University of Michigan, where she earned both her bachelor’s and law degrees, and ran on the university’s first Women’s Varsity Track and Field Team.
