Kenneth E. Johnson is the District Manager of the Social Security field office in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.
He began his career with Social Security in 1981 as a claims representative. He first entered management in 1986 as an Operations Supervisor and was later promoted to Program Specialist in 1991. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the Dallas Regional Leadership Development Program, class of 1999. Following the completion of the development program, he was named District Manager of the Waxahachie, Texas field office. In 2018, he was promoted to his current position in Fort Worth.
During his career with SSA, Kenneth has served in various positions on a detail basis, including Program Analyst for the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity; Guest Instructor in the Dallas Regional Training Center; District Manager, Dallas Oak Cliff, and Project Manager for Dallas Area V.
Kenneth has been a member of all of the SSA Advisory Councils (ACs) . He has served as a leader within the Social Security Administration’s Black Affairs Advisory Council (BAAC) for a number of years and has held leadership position on the local, regional and national level. Currently, he serves the Dallas BAAC Regional Coordinator and is the organization’s newly elected National Chairperson. In addition to working with the ACs Kenneth is a member of Black in Government and the Dallas Regional Management Association. Mr. Johnson provides leadership in his community as well. He is formerly the Vice President of Human Resources for the Creative Arts and Theater School in Arlington and a former Regional officer for the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Southwest Region. He is an active member and Deacon at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.
Mr. Johnson is a 1979 graduate of Henderson State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
