Lydia C. Marshall Associate Commissioner for Personnel

Lydia Marshall is currently the Associate Commissioner for Personnel at the Social Security Administration.  She was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in September 2011, and has served as the Associate Commissioner for Personnel since September 2016.  As the agency’s Personnel Officer, Ms. Marshall is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a fully integrated and coordinated personnel program to meet the needs of the agency.   

Ms. Marshall joined the Social Security Administration in 1994 as a Claims Representative, where she worked directly with the public and assisted applicants in filing for benefits.  She is a native Baltimorean, married with three children, and is an avid Ravens Fan!
